The 1977 team will always hold a special place in the hearts of Denver Bronco fans. The first Bronco team to qualify for the playoffs, to defeat the two most dominant teams of the 70’s in those playoffs (the Steelers and Raiders), and to reach the Super Bowl was truly an amazing accomplishment! Quarterback Craig Morton was an integral part of the 77 team, the NFL Comeback Player of the Year for 1977. Come hear Craig tell stories of that miracle 1977 season, of his six years with the Broncos, and of his life after football. During his career with Denver, Morton led the team to two division titles and three playoff berths, finishing his Broncos career with 11,895 passing yards and 74 touchdown passes. His 41 regular-season wins as the Broncos’ starting quarterback mark the second highest total in club history.
Craig doesn’t make it to Denver very often these days. He will be in town for Red Miller’s induction into the Broncos Ring of Fame. Quarterback club members and their guests have a rare opportunity to meet Craig at this very special lunch meeting! Let’s pack the room to show our appreciation for Craig and all he did for Broncos!
