Long time Denver Broncos Quarterback Club member Kara Christian passed away earlier this month after a courageous battle with terminal breast cancer. Kara was in the media spotlight before this year’s Super Bowl, taking out a half page ad in the Denver Post thanking the team. “You shall never know how much your kindness and support has meant to me throughout my illness,” the ad read, “I was born a Bronco, I bleed orange and I will proudly die a Bronco.” Kara was able to attend the Super Bowl to see her favorite team one last time.
We at the Denver Bronco Quarterback Club extend our condolences to Kara’s friends and family during this difficult time. She was a great fan, and a great lady.
Read a past Broncos Game Day Magazine on Kara here, and see her obituary here.
Kara, you will be missed.
I sat behind Kara for ten years in the south stands. She was a great person and great fan. I’m glad I got to spend Sundays with her. I’m glad she is in a better place now. Bye Kara.
Kara was a warm and caring person and by far the most loyal Bronco fan ever. We enjoyed getting to know her and having her for a friend. I’ll always think of her waving to the team and cheering them on as they came into the stadium from the parking lot.
It will not be the same without Kara – we have missed her these last 2 years as she battled cancer.
GO BRONCOS – will always be in all of our hearts and her passion for the Broncos – Kara will be missed.
May she always know it was great to call her friend.
Always
Barbara Brodt
My Dear Broncos Buddy Kara should be in the Fan HOF. She was a little girl with a huge heart. I will miss our fun times at the games and other Bronco activities, but also our concerts, symphonies, lunches at Elway’s (always watching to see if he would walk in the door!). You left us way to soon and you will be sorely missed and always loved.
A great lady and fan of the Denver Broncos!! Kara Christian will always be remembered for her admiration and devotion to the Denver Broncos. When she worked in Dover, DE at Wesley College she was a WONDERFUL PE instructor. Dr. Christian had her ways but from cooperating teachers in the area, the PE teachers that came from our program were very well prepared. She was one of those professors that I get asked about all of the time. She wore her blue and orange here as well, and traveled to Denver for games. She was so proud to be a part of that organization!
I am so sorry to hear of her passing and my thoughts and prayers are with her friends and family.
One of the most amazing college professors I ever had. She was extremely passionate about everything in her life. You will be missed.
