Our guest speaker for our October 31st lunch meeting is STEVE ATWATER, who was placed on the Broncos Ring of Fame in 2005. He is on a tight schedule because of the Ring of Fame Festivities at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on November 1st, so he will begin speaking at 1:00 p.m. Steve attended Arkansas University and was drafted by the Broncos with the 20th pick in the first round in 1989. While he was with the Broncos he was rated as one of the top three safeties in the NFL. He played in three Super Bowls with the Broncos which included Super Bowls XXXll and XXXlll and was selected to eight Pro Bowls. Everyone remembers the tackle of Kansas City Chiefs massive 260 lb. running back Christian Okoye the “Nigerian Nightmare” who was laid out by Atwater on Monday night football September 17, 1990.
The meeting will be at C. B. & Potts located at 6575 South Greenwood Plaza Blvd about 100 yards north of Arapahoe Road behind the theatre. Cost is $20.00 per person.
