Denver Broncos Quarterback Club member Cheryl James attended the Super Bowl in person! Here she shares her thoughts after the game and some pictures she took:
“First of all, from the perspective of a Broncos fan sitting in the stadium, the game stunk. There were a lot of Seahawks fans at the game and it was obvious from the noise perspective. You know it’s going to a long night when the opposing fan sitting next to you knocks over your beer twice accidentally walking past you. And as you know it went downhill from there. This was a team loss, everyone contributed.
I have been lucky enough to attend 3 Super Bowls in person. This was obviously my least favorite since it was a loss. But I am still happy we came. The season was not a waste because we lost the last game. This was an amazing season, don’t forget that in the disappointment. The silver lining will be that there is no way Peyton retires on this note. Remember how many good players we lost to injuries this season. Remember what we accomplished. I will proudly wear my orange today around New York and to the David Letterman show tonight. The Broncos are still AFC champions and made it to the Super Bowl. Which is better than what 30 other teams can say.”

The view from our seats! Broncos sideline, seattle end zone. Was waving my silver and orange pom poms!
Here’s a couple of photos from Super Bowl Boulevard in Times Square. Walking around there on Saturday I learned what a sardine feels like. I saw Karl Mecklenburg on the street.
Outside the stadium, having a beer with some other Broncos fans! Go Broncos!!!
