Shirley’s Game Day in the Budweiser Champions Club

Denver Broncos Quarterback Club member Shirley Vetter shares her experience in the Budweister Champions Club at the Bronco/KC game December 30, 2012 – thanks Shirley!

WOW!  What a great day for all of us Bronco Fans.  The Broncos took out Kansas City and now we are division champs with a bye to head into the playoffs.  It was a real fun day for me because I was watching the game in the Budweiser Champion Club with my daughter Lisa and my son-in-law David (former Broncos place kicker David Treadwell).

I had the good fortune to visit with Bronco greats Odell Barry and Randy Gradishar (that’s me and Randy in the picture).  Pictured below is a Bronco’s version of the famous Ginger Bread House that was in our suite.  It looked good enough to eat!

I’ve been a fan of the Broncos since 1981 and have enjoyed following all their games.  I remember going to the game about 10:00 a:m on Sunday and sitting outside on the hill at the Chili Pepper restaurant.  I’d have a Bloody Mary and watch all the fans come to the stadium.  We would go to the south stands and see the players arrive for the game.  You really felt kind of a close relationship with them.

I’ve been on the Board of Directors of the Denver Broncos Quarterback Club for about five years.  We have a great time together!  We try to give our members an inside view of the team by bringing player guests to the meetings who share their experiences since they have been with the Broncos.  Nowhere else will you have the opportunity to get “up close and personal” with the players.  I’m looking forward to the playoffs and watching the Broncos reach their goal.  GO BRONCOS.
