Our first dinner meeting of 2013 is scheduled for Monday February 11th. Our guest speaker will be Denver Broncos offensive guard Zane Beadles. Zane was Drafted in the 2nd round (45th overall)
of the 2010 NFL draft and has been a stalwart on the offensive line right from the very beginning. We should have a very interesting meeting since we have never had offensive linemen speak to us in the past because of their code of silence with the media.
We will also feature Zane’s foundation, “Cakes for Cancer at Brent’s Place“. Zane cooks
pancakes at Brent’s Place located at 11980 E. 16th Avenue in Aurora and they always
have a need for volunteers to help out. We also want to encourage our members to bring
some arts and crafts material for the kids in his foundation. We will have flyers on each table.
We will meet at Red and Jerry’s on the southwest corner of S. Santa
Fe Drive and Oxford Avenue. The doors on the south end of their building will open
at 5:30 p.m. and start the evening with a cash bar. Then at 6:30 we will have a Buffet
that includes salad, entrée, sides, dessert and coffee and tea. The cost of $20.00
covers all of this and tax and tip.
